I don't know if it's the bluray transfer or in the original film, but almost all of the dark images are terribly grainy. A glorious, martial arts film recounting the life of this legend, shot by a truly gifted director should result in an amazing film.
This Hong Kong-set crime drama follows the lives of a hitman, hoping to get out of the business, and his elusive female partner. My only gripe about this Blu-ray release which looks stunning in its clarity of picture and color highlighting particularly Wong's penchant for rain and darkness is that the special features do not have any English subtitling -- so unless you read Chinese you won't be able to know what Wong or his crew and cast are talking about.
